She expressed these views, talking to senior Program Officer BMGF (USA), Jeffrey Partridge, at her office, here on Thursday. Umar Farooq, EOC, Dr Ahmed Ali Shaikh, technical focal person Sindh Polio and Additional Secretary Asghar Memon were also present.
"For behavioural changes and massive social mobilisation on EPI, community involvement regarding awareness on the issue is essentially needed," she said. The minister asked BMGF USA official to provide technical, consultative and financial support for establishing proper sewerage treatment plants because clean environment was the need of the hour to counter Polio virus.
